I recently bought this knife sharpener and I love it. I have a drawer full of knifes that I use then they become dull. I do lots of cooking and baking and I like my knifes to be sharp. I have tried other knife sharpeners but this one works the best.
This sharpener is all you’ll ever have to keep your knives razor sharp with ease. All the models are great based on your needs. I run mine through #1 till knife gets new angle and rough edges out. Then. # 2 will keep knife sharp with 4-5 pulls per side. # 3 will stromp blade for vegetables and such. It is makes processing meat much quicker and my wife loved that I did all the kitchen knives for faster and safer prep work. I know at least 5 other people that use these (all 3 wheel models)constantly throughout deer and fishing season and never heard a complaint.
OK, this is a great knife sharpener but it takes a small amount of work. Pick a day and time, Mine is Sunday morning. Sharpen all your knives every Sunday. Routine. If you do not set a routine you’ll go to sharpen while cooking it screws up your whole beat. After 5-6 weeks the (5 or 6 sharpening cycles) the new edge is set and the knives cut like magic. Every time you grab a knife it’s sharp and prepared to go. If you attempt 30 passes in one sitting it just screws up the knife. 2-3 passes each side, each level, once a week. Sharp knives. 4 moths of use Still excellent, draw the knives thru gradually, say a slow 10 count for big knifes, and it may help to use a slight turn motion, like tuning a key in a lock to better push the edge to the stone. Best sharpener I have ever used.
